The Challenge

A local medical practice was growing and facing a familiar dilemma: lease or buy, and where? The leading physician was a well-respected specialist, but not a real estate expert, so he engaged Three West as a buyer’s agent. Once the first hurdles were crossed (buy in an emerging area close to a hospital) the next issue arose: how do you run a busy medical practice and still find the time to simultaneously oversee a construction project?

Our Approach

Three West stepped in and did what it does best: survey the client and the market, and provide informed counsel. Professionals from the firm assisted with obtaining financing and securing the very best property for the need. Meanwhile, the medical practice continued to focus their efforts on patients, while Three West managed the entire construction project, from interviewing and selecting an architect and contractors, to permits, and monitoring progress and punch lists.

The Result

While Three West was sweating the details of this architectural design note or that inspection, the medical professionals were able to see patients, carry on with everyday life, and have the peace of mind that the project was completed on-time, on-budget. Today the doctor and staff are in an ideal, new location and still growing!
